Verina came highly recommended by a close friend. I was new to the country. I was absolutely clueless about the NHS or the system. Being an Immigrant to this country meant I had no family whatsoever around.
So my friend told me to reach out to Verina and that she will take care of everything. And she took care of every single thing so effortlessly.
I’m a doctor myself, so a hospital is my second home. So I was in labour pains and waiting to be allowed into my birthing room. It was a long wait. I was subjected to some racial profiling. I was invisible to the people there until Verina came in. She waltzed in and figured everything out. We were in my birthing room within 20 minutes of her being there. I wasn’t invisible anymore because my advocate was there for me.

She made sure my birth plan was executed to the T. I also remember how Verina highly recommended a home birth for me but when I told her I wanted to go into the hospital, she just helped me write out my birth plan. She was never judgmental. She gave me my options but always allowed me to make my own informed choices. Never pushy!
I had a very traumatic birthing experience with my elder child. But everytime, I remember my younger child’s birth, it fills me with happiness and satisfaction. Verina helped me embrace the beauty of giving birth! My husband and I were so pleased that we had Verina around to guide us and help navigate the birth.
And I have to mention the Rebozo technique that Verina uses!! It’s literally magic. I didn’t use any pain management at all as my labour was quite short. Her Rebozo literally made my labour pains vanish and put me in a trance like state where I could just practice my breathing exercises.
